- install Visual Studio 2008 R2.
- install VS 2008 Team Explorer
- install VS 2008 Service Pack 1, or reinstall.
- install the Visual Studio Team System 2008 Service Pack 1 Forward Compatibility Update for Team Foundation Server 2010
You might need to assign Port and a location to your TFS server, like this:
